6 month well baby check.. a little delayed

Today was Owen's six month well baby check. He is getting so big I can't believe he will be seven months pretty soon! Its crazy. He weighed in at 21 pounds 3.5 ounces and 27.5 inches long.

Some fun things
- He now has 1.5 teeth (we are currently working on the other one!)
- He can roll both from front to back and back to front
- He loves to stand!
- He can sit up by himself and roll onto him tummy
- He loves to watch the puppies run around
- He loves to CUDDLE! (I do too :)
- He is getting to be more of a chatterbox every day
- He never sits still! He is always moving

Jerry's Birthday!

This post is a couple of days late.. but.. we have all been sick :P! No fun! We celebrated Jerry's birthday on Sunday and had a lot of fun. We invited all of the family over for a BBQ. Jerry had fun despite feeling like crap for most of the time. Owen is growing up so much! We made is six and a half months with no illness. Pretty good but.. taking care of a sick baby is no fun! Poor little O! He has been sick for five days or so and still just not having fun. He is almost crawling. He is getting so good. He loves to stand up and hold on to things. He doesn't go anywhere just kind of bounces up and down but he loves it! He can now roll over both directions and is getting to be such a little busy boy. Life is going to get interesting pretty soon here... mobile child! haha. Here are some pictures from the birthday. I meant to get some of everybody that came but Owen wasn't feeling well so I was a little preoccupied. Here are the ones that we got though.

6 months!

Owen is 6 months already! I can't believe it! He is growing up so fast. We are still having so much fun with him. He is so close to crawling! He loves to get up on his knees and rock back and forth - he just hasn't figured out the forward motion yet.. he can scoot backward all over the place and he can sit up and play with toys very well. We have started feeding him vegetables and he loves them. He gets so excited and we make a big mess! He weighs around 22 pounds. We haven't had his checkup yet because we couldn't get an appt so an update on height and weight will come soon. I took these pictures today, enjoy :)

So BIG!

Just a few little updates.. I havent posted for a while! Owen is getting to be such a big boy!!! He really likes to stand or sit up to play on the floor.. no more of that laying down stuff. He stands really well when he holds onto your fingers, he loves to sit up and play! He can sit up pretty well by himself but topples over every now and then. He still hasnt rolled over but... I think he could, he is definitely strong enough! We came to Oceanside CA for a little vacation. Owen took his first dip in the ocean! He didnt seem to mind too much as long as we warmed up his feet after we stuck them in ice. He is such a little fish. He absolutely LOVES water. He loves bathtime, he loves to swim in the pool, and loves to play in ANY water. It definitely is different traveling with a baby but we are still having a blast! I thought it would be fun to list Owens firsts for the past week or so......

Owens first
- dip into the ocean, he actually didnt seem to mind... but he did love sticking his feet in the sand
- first vacation! the drive wasnt too bad.. he is such a good sport
- first fry, cookie, taste of bread....... Jerry cant seem to resist letting him taste things!
- first time sitting up in a high chair for dinner - I LOVE this! I can actually eat.. he does really well.

The weigh in.....

Owen had his four month appointment last week and the weigh in is...... 18 Pounds and 8 Ounces! So he has almost tripled his birth weight in four months. He is getting so big! He likes to play in his bumbo chair, swing in the swing, and of course BE HELD. He sure gets heavy! We are still loving every minute with him. He is "talking" more and more each day and gets very enthusiastic!
