not much!

Well, for some reason I can't upload any pictures. We haven't really been up to much. Jerry is doing awesome this semester and is just finishing up with finals. He has decided to head in the direction of being a paramedic. He is really good with emergencies and handling those type of situations and he loves it! I have been working like crazy to get Christmas gifts made and done. I will post some pictures (if I can figure out what the problem is) after Christmas of my cute stuff I have been working on. Owen is getting bigger everyday, it seems like he just grew up all of a sudden. He is quite opinionated about what he thinks should be going on.. hopefully that will change into determination later? lol. We couldn't be having more fun!

So.. I was really sick of people calling him a girl. Result = haircut. It's pretty cute but I loved his longer hair :)

11 months!... a little late

Life has just been busy! I can't seem to keep up on things! Owen is 11 months.. soon 1 year! I can't even believe how fast time flies. It's crazy to think it's been almost a year.
Things Owen is up to....
- He is walking all over the place (he started when he was 10ish months.. soon I'm sure he will be running! He is so enthusiastic.
- He loves to be outside
- He loves to wrestle with dad
- He says dada, dog, and mama.
- He will just go sit by his books and "read" to himself.. it's so cute to listen to!
- He has four teeth and has been working on two more for a month or so
- He likes to "sing" in church. When everyone starts singing he goes right ahead and sings too.
- He loves listening to any and all music and to dance with it.
- He loves playing with the dogs
- He pushes trucks all over the house
- Still loves bath time

I'm sure there is more but I just can't think of it right now!

Got a new camera!!! Yahoo! I love it! Here are some pictures of the little man. I love him so much.. words can't describe it. He is pretty much walking now and he LOVES to eat everything that we are eating. If we don't share he gets very upset. Half of the time he ends up in our bed (we are such pushovers.. he sure has us wrapped around his little finger). He is jabbering so much and just today learned how to do peek-a-boo by himself! He is so much fun! His first birthday is coming up, I can't believe how fast time flies.

Because..... I can't find my camera :( Big FROWN! We went camping in July and I can't find it anywhere.. and posts are no fun without pictures. So, I am in the market. YOU will just have to be patient :):)

Pretty much what I have been up to this week. Along with taking care of poor sick/grumpy Owen. Poor little dude. I also have been spray painting things like crazy - light fixtures in my house! and hanging up some of our family photos.

Lately

Lately I haven't felt much like posting.. or haven't had time! One of the two! So a little update on us. Owen is now 9 months! How fast time flies! He is so much fun. He is babbling more and more every day. He say's dadadadadad ALL day and mamamamama a few times in there. He is still crawling all over the place and loves to play with the puppies. I think he is very close to walking. He will grab something that he wants and just stand and balance... we will see. He is into EVERYTHING!!! Such a busy little boy. Wants to know whats going on and be involved in anything thats going on. We have been having the hardest time getting him to sleep at night because he doesn't want to be let out of the action. He has almost four teeth. We are just waiting for the top two to pop the rest of the way through. That was fun :p.. not! Owen had his appointment the other day and he weighs 23 pounds and seven ounces and is almost 29 inches tall. We took him on his first camping trip.. that was an adventure. Camping is definitely NOT relaxing with a baby. He played in dirt and chewed on sticks to Jerry's delight. He is such a BOY. We are going camping two more times (that are already planned) this summer and we are excited. Work is fine.. still there! We are still working on getting our house just how we want it and decorated how we want it. Also, the yard is still a work in progress. The sprinkler system is almost in and then we can move on to GRASS!!! Yippee! We are loving life and having fun and wish you all the same!

Goings On!

I haven't posted for a while.. so here are some things we have been up to.
Owen is now crawling all over the place! It is so much fun to see him moving all over just more work trying to keep track of the little dude. He is getting super speedy. He really likes to grab on the furniture and pull himself up to standing on EVERYTHING! This is a really fun age! I took Owen to the splash pad thingy in st. george right off of main street and it was SO much fun. They have a little river that's probably 8 feet wide or so and 2-3 inches deep. He was crawling around and splashing in the water. He is right around 8 months and is growing SOOO fast! It will be an adventure to take him camping with us at the end of June. Jerry has been working like crazy trying to get our sprinkler system in. It wouldn't be so difficult if our dirt was a little bit more workable! It is very hard and very rocky! Soon it will be done - at least that's what we keep telling ourselves. I've started working on a few crafts and organizing/decorating my house when I have time. Hopefully once my house is decorated I can do some more crafts and sewing!

Fun in the sun!

Too much fun for one little bucket!

6 month well baby check.. a little delayed

Today was Owen's six month well baby check. He is getting so big I can't believe he will be seven months pretty soon! Its crazy. He weighed in at 21 pounds 3.5 ounces and 27.5 inches long.

Some fun things
- He now has 1.5 teeth (we are currently working on the other one!)
- He can roll both from front to back and back to front
- He loves to stand!
- He can sit up by himself and roll onto him tummy
- He loves to watch the puppies run around
- He loves to CUDDLE! (I do too :)
- He is getting to be more of a chatterbox every day
- He never sits still! He is always moving

Jerry's Birthday!

This post is a couple of days late.. but.. we have all been sick :P! No fun! We celebrated Jerry's birthday on Sunday and had a lot of fun. We invited all of the family over for a BBQ. Jerry had fun despite feeling like crap for most of the time. Owen is growing up so much! We made is six and a half months with no illness. Pretty good but.. taking care of a sick baby is no fun! Poor little O! He has been sick for five days or so and still just not having fun. He is almost crawling. He is getting so good. He loves to stand up and hold on to things. He doesn't go anywhere just kind of bounces up and down but he loves it! He can now roll over both directions and is getting to be such a little busy boy. Life is going to get interesting pretty soon here... mobile child! haha. Here are some pictures from the birthday. I meant to get some of everybody that came but Owen wasn't feeling well so I was a little preoccupied. Here are the ones that we got though.

6 months!

Owen is 6 months already! I can't believe it! He is growing up so fast. We are still having so much fun with him. He is so close to crawling! He loves to get up on his knees and rock back and forth - he just hasn't figured out the forward motion yet.. he can scoot backward all over the place and he can sit up and play with toys very well. We have started feeding him vegetables and he loves them. He gets so excited and we make a big mess! He weighs around 22 pounds. We haven't had his checkup yet because we couldn't get an appt so an update on height and weight will come soon. I took these pictures today, enjoy :)
