Final's Week
This week is finals week for me. Yay! After this week I will only have one more semester until graduation. I thought that day would never come. I am starting to have this light at the end of the tunnel feeling to get through the daily craziness. It's funny though. This semester I am not that stressed about finals. I calculated that I would have to get a 48% (a score which I have never ever recieved on anything) to only get a C in the class. I think I will be okay ;) I'm kind of relaxed about the final, it's a good feeling. I am starting to stress about the Nclex though. It is so much information and I need to start studying now. I am excited for Christmas and the time I get to spend with family and friends.

Gingerbread Houses
The other day Jerry and I made our first gingerbread house together. I have actually never made a "real" gingerbread house so this was a new thing to me. I was really fun to make and we had a blast!

What a relief!!!
Today I finished my last clinical of the semester. Oh what a relief that is. All I have to do is take a test or two more and I will be good. I am also excited for Thanksgiving (even though I have to work), I love the holidays!!

Post wisdom teeth and NICU clinical day
So.. I haven't written anything in a while so I thought I would take a minute and write a blurb about what's been going on with us. I have just been going to school and working (i know, really boring) and about the same with jerry. I did get my wisdom teeth taken out last week. For some reason I didn't think that it would hurt as bad as it did after the surgery. Crazy delusions I guess? I don't know. But everything is great now. I did my clinicals in the NICU (newborn intensive care unit for those of you non-medical people :) .. anyways. It was the coolest experience. I have enjoyed clinicals so far this semester. I mean, the not getting paid thing kind of sucks but, when you get to hang out with cute babies all day, why not? I had the best nurse to work with today and it was an awesome day! It is kind of coming to reality for me that I really only have six more weeks of class (not that I'm counting or anything) and then another semester and I will be able to take my state nursing boards and be done!? That's only 7 months and a couple days away! Crazy how life flies so fast at ya!

White scrubs, peanut butter, and crystal light?
White scrubs, peanut butter, and crystal light. That was how my morning began this morning. I started out with my completely white nursing school scrubs to go to clinicals this morning. It was a little early and so while preparing my water bottle of crystal light I splashed pink spots all over my scrub pants. Now, this was at five thirty AM and I really didn't have time to change. So, I thought I could deal with a few pink spots. Then, as I was getting into my car with my peanut butter english muffin I dropped a splotch of peanut butter on my pants. Great huh? I'm sure my patients will love that I have food all over me all day! So, in my head I thought, If this is an indication of how my day is going to be today I shouldn't have even gotten out of bed. So, after arriving to my assigned unit for the day my instructor found out that too many students had shown up today. I told her I would be happy to make her day easier and leave (not really I just said I would go home) and she said, OK. So, moral of the story, maybe spilling food all over white clothes helps you get to leave early from work/school? Who really knows, but it worked for me. So, I get the day off today, WOOHOO!

Sunday Drivin'
Today we went for a nice Sunday afternoon drive up on Cedar mountain. We drove past Navajo lake and up by Duck Creek lake. We had a nice little picnic and sat in the sun. The weather is so nice up there and it was perfect weather. The breeze made it a teeny bit chilly but other than that a perfect afternoon! We both love the outdoors so it was a perfect day.

First test of the semester!
I had my first test of the semester yesterday and I am so happy about how well I did! I was pretty stressed about it because I was really tired from all my clinicals and work and only really got to study in the evening of two days. The test was on a lot of OB and Mom and Baby stuff along with Psych. Anyways. I got a 90% (that means I only missed 5 questions!!!) and they are probably going to add more points because one of the questions wouldn't let you pick the correct answer. So I got an A on my first test! Yay for me! :)

Congratulations Baby
So, Today in the mail we received a letter for Jerry. We were so excited when he opened it up and found his Associate of Science Degree certificate. I am so proud of him and he has worked so hard to get this done. He is so awesome! Sometimes it's really hard to work full time and go to school full time. I am so proud of you honey!

You have got to be kidding me!?
So. As many of you know, I had my first week of school this week. I spent two very very long days (8 hours +) in the same classroom listening to my teachers talk and talk. It was interesting at some points but.. I personally cannot sit and listen for 8 hours to the same person. It was pretty miserable. After the first day of class I still don't know my clinical schedule and... I woke up the next day with a horrible cold and it just isn't going away very quickly. So, I had to use some of my PTO because I had to call in sick today. I am a little bitter. I usually use my PTO to study for a test or something like that instead of laying in bed all day. Plus, I really hate being sick

Life is good.
Life has been really good lately. It is so nice to not really have to think about school and stuff like that. Even though we are still trying to get all of our stuff organized into our new place and stuff it has been a lot more mellow. School starts next weekend so that will end our nice enjoyable time but I only have NINE MONTHS left of school! I was thinking about it the other day and I only have nine more months until I graduate. With the winter break it's only like eight months. How awesome is that to think about?! It's like a light at the end of the tunnel for me. I think I am going to take a year off and then go back for my bachelors. It will be good. I just can't wait until it's over! :)

How did we get so much stuff?
So, this week has been a crazy one. We moved all of our stuff into a Uhaul truck and out of it into our new place all within 24 hours. It took forever and I am very very sore from lifting all of our heavy crap. But, it was interesting, as we were packing boxes and moving heavy furniture I stopped and thought to myself, "Man! How did we get so much stuff!" I don't understand where all of this stuff came from, I certainly didn't have this much stuff two and a half years ago (the last time I moved). It is insane how much stuff you just gather and you don't realize how much stuff you have until you have to move it. Nevertheless, we did get it all moved safely into our new place and are just working on getting it all put away. It's fun to be in a new place and to be sooo much closer to everywhere we have to be. Anyways, It was interesting and we are enjoying ourselves.

What a relief!!!
So, yesterday I took my incredibly hard and horrible final for my summer class. I really studied for this test and it was the hardest test I have ever taken. It was like I was taking the test in spanish or something crazy like that. It seemed like nothing that I had studied was on the test AT ALL. Anyways.. I didn't flunk it but it wasn't a star moment in my education. I am pretty sure that I will still get a "C" in the class which is all I really need for my program. So, it's a nice relief to get that class off of my mind and on to the crazy chore of moving. I don't know how we accumulated so much stuff! I don't remember having as large of a quantity of stuff as we do, and really it's quite agitating. No wonder people try not to move very often....

It's official
Well. It's official. We are moving in two and a half weeks! We are moving into St. George (I know I know.. big move ;) But, where I have to be at the hospital 5 or so days a week for work and clinicals it will work a lot better so I won't have to commute so much. It kind of sucks having to move everything and change wards etc but it should be a good thing. That's all for now!

Camping in Panguitch
Jerry and I went camping this weekend with my family to Panguitch Lake. We had a lot of fun. We went river fishing.. something I have never done.. and am not very good at! Jerry caught the big brown trout in the picture and that was the only fish we caught the whole time! I really don't understand the patience of fishing.. I don't have it. Anyways. The weather was nice and we had a nice time hanging out. But, yet again, we got rained out of our campsite. It seems that everytime we want to go camping, go anywhere, or decide to have a wedding (remember that freak snow storm in St George in March 05? yeah, that was us) .... the weather is horrible! It either rains or snows. I really don't get it. Anyways, all in all we had a good time.

Kanarraville Falls

Today was such a cool day! We decided to head out to Kanaraville Falls and go for a hike. When we first got there the road was blocked so we had to walk probably at least a mile to get to the actual hike. Now this road was completely dusty and it was blistering HOT!!!! Anyways. Once we got going this hike was tons of fun. I totally recommend it! There are parts where you get really wet and have to climb up crazy unsturdy ladders to get over the waterfall.... but, it's totally worth it! It was so much fun. After we got above the third waterfall we found a spot and ate lunch. It was really relaxing just to hang out up there and have lunch. Because we were in a canyon it wasn't nearly as hot and we were all soaked anyway. If you do decide to go make sure you bring plenty of water and a camera! Just make sure you don't fall in the water with your camera. If you want to look at the rest of our slideshow of pictures you can go to this website

Essay's, Quizzes, and Other Craziness
Okay, seriously, what is with summer school? It's just as hellish as the other semesters (if not more) yet it's nice and sunny outside! Sitting indoors all day writing dumb papers and doing quizzes really isn't that great of a day. I would rather be out hiking or doing something fun! This probably isn't a revelation to anyone that summer school sucks, however I did need to vent.

New Blog
So, I thought it would be fun to start of blog about Jerry and I and what was going on with us. On a regular basis, our lives are really really boring! Consisting only of school and work. Told you, nobody will probably want to read this. However, sometimes fun and crazy things happen to us. Hopefully it won't be too boring ;)
